Our History

We met for the first time at the Main Train Station in Kraków, on our way to Ania and Fabian’s wedding. At the bus that was supposed to take us to the wedding, a small group of Poles was already waiting. The Austrian group was hungover and late, as the previous evening had ended very late. Monika was appointed the “tour guide” by Ania. On the bus, Monika immediately grabbed the microphone and gave a welcome speech in English. After a joke that only Martin laughed at, he decided he needed to get to know this woman better.
 
During the ceremony, they lost sight of each other, but after a few drinks and vodka shots, they met again – this time in front of the restroom for people with disabilities. It was right there that they had their first conversation. It was also the moment when Monika decided to change Martin’s name to “Martini.” Since then, all her friends and family in Poland have called him that.
 
After Martin made a major faux pas by trying to start the wedding’s first dance (he had forgotten that this was Ania and Fabian’s role), the bond between them grew even stronger. There was wild dancing and plenty of drinking… And the rest? Well, that remains their sweet little secret… But here we are now, celebrating another wedding. At least this time, we get to start the first dance ourselves.

Ceremony

It is very important to us that our wedding takes place during a Mass in the traditional Roman Rite, the so-called Tridentine Mass, which is celebrated in Latin. Unfortunately, this was not possible in any church in Krakow. However, fortunately, near Krakow in Libertów, there is the Chapel of Society of St. Pius X, where such a ceremony can be held.

The Latin Mass is something very special, but it is also longer than usual ceremonies. Therefore, we would like to inform you in advance that the entire wedding ceremony, including the Mass, will last about 2 to 2.5 hours. We would be delighted if you joined us already during the ceremony. However, if you prefer to join us directly at the wedding reception around 4:00 PM, we completely understand and that is absolutely no problem.

To make participation in the Mass easier for you, we will prepare special booklets with translations and explanations of the individual parts of the ceremony. Additionally, a bus will beorganized to take you from Krakow’s city center to the chapel and then, after the Mass, to the wedding venue. For those who choose not to attend the Mass, we will arrange separate transportation directly from the city center to the wedding venue.

Therefore, we kindly ask you to let us know via the RSVP form whether you will join us at the chapel or directly at the wedding reception. This will help us better organize the transportation.

GUEST GUIDE

accommodation

There is no accommodation for guests in the place where the wedding is taking place. If necessary, there are three hotels near the Manor (Hotel Witek, Hotel Margerita, Hotel Jurajski), but we personally suggest that people who are not from Krakow stay in the city center, because it will be a much better solution. The Manor is less than 11 km from Krakow, you can easily return to your accommodation by bus or taxi organized by us.

Why is it better to stay in Krakow?

Because there are more attractions and opportunities to spend your free time there.
For people who will be visiting Krakow for the first time, this is a great opportunity to explore the city, which we strongly encourage you to do.As for the accommodation itself, anyone who needs help with choosing, or would like to book several smaller apartments in one building, please let us know in the RSVP form. We can help you find the best apartment option at
a good price and organize additional tourist attractions on site.

TRANSPORT

We will arrange a bus from the city center directly to the chapel and then to the wedding reception, or straight to the “Dwór w Modlnicy.” If you would like to use this transport, please let us know in the RSVP form. All details will be provided closer to the wedding date.

Parking

If you prefer to drive, parking will be available at both the Chapel and the wedding reception venue (“Dwór w Modlnicy”).

RETURN

Smaller buses will be available from around midnight to take you back to your accommodation. If you need to leave earlier, it will also be easy to book a taxi using services like Uber, Bolt, or Free Now.
